The Downs Stone Company Limited are able to produce the same traditional sizes and laying design using modern technology combined with the traditional hand finishing required.

• Our standard stone flooring is 22mm thick and we are happy to discuss any other requirements
• Underfloor heating works extremely well under limestone flooring as stone is totally inert and a natural conductor of heat
• Stone flooring can be laid on either a concrete screed or timber sub floor. In order to stabilise timber or suspended floors we recommend the use of 18mm thick waterproof plywood fixed at 30cm intervals
